When
designing a look and feel for the CotN interface, I wanted to bridge the
gap between our modern perception of Egypt as an ancient civilization
with many wondrous deteriorating ruins, and the vibrant modern
civilization that Egypt was at its height four thousand years ago. I
discovered a key to this in the jewelry and style of the
Egyptian revival of the early 2oth century, and took those style and
material cues as inspiration for all the interface graphics in the game. |
