When we conceived the HUD for Dance Central, we wanted to move as much of the HUD out of screen space and into world space as we could. By coupling the UI components with world objects (the boombox) or aligning them with world perspective (flashcard HUD and move feedback), we were able to increase the immersion for the player. |
